Lucas pays homage to the French Hip Hop scene of the 1980s and 1990s. She recognised herself within this movement and became friends with the young musicians, graffiti artists, dancers of all social origins, precursors of this new movement. There are images of temples of this movement which are: Ticaret, the wasteland of La Chapelle, the Globo, radio Nova alongside photographs of the male and female rappers, B-Boys and DJ's such as MC Solaar, Booba, Cut Killer, Dee nasty, B-Love, K-reen and Sté Strausz.

There is also an interview with the director of the La Haine, Mathieu Kassovitz.
