Furuya explores the aftermath of the suicide of his wife, Christine, in 1985, and his attempt to understand the tragedy and its repercussions through his own life and that of their son. Alongside intimate portraits of Christine and their son, Furuya combines impressions of their time in East Berlin and Dresden with delicate photographs of plants and flowers. The book also includes a series of direct portraits of Bosnian war refugees, photographed in detention centres in Graz.

Published on occasion of his exhibition at Fotomuseum Winterthur in 1995.
