Whilst studying at Preston University, Hawkesworth became fascinated with the brutalist bus station in Preston. He had done a previous project with an ex-tutor and then when he caught wind of the possible demolition of the building he would spend twelve hours a day for a month taking photographs of the station and the people there.
 
This book was the original photobook about the bus station prior to the next version he did with Dashwood Books in 2017.
