“Every day I travelled to King’s Cross and back. Coming home late at night, it was like a party and I felt like the tube was mine and I was there to take the pictures.”
Bob Mazzer spent two decades photographing the London Underground. His job as a projectionist and the hours he worked meant that he would be travelling at different times of the day, photographing the early morning commuters and late-night revellers. The social conditions, fashion, culture, and various human dramas such as love, friendship, joy, and sorrow are brilliantly depicted.
